Book now for PORTMEIRICON 2010
To be held 16-18th April, guests to be announced.

Portmeiricon 2009The principal guest at PortmeiriCon 2009 was acclaimed actress WANDA VENTHAM who appeared in the episode "It's Your Funeral". Wanda is very well known for her appearances in The Prisoner and other fantasy and science fiction series such as "U.F.O." in addition to her many roles in more conventional drama on television, films and theatre.

The second guest was JOHN S. SMITH who was editor and music editor on "It's Your Funeral" and editor on "The General" and "Dance Of The Dead".

As with all of their conventions at Portmeirion, Six Of One takes over The Village for the entire weekend and members can book accomodation right in the heart of the action. This year there was a good mixture of both indoor and outdoor activities and members could take part in the election parade from "Free For All" and the chess game from "Checkmate" in addition to a host of other attractions such as live theatre, discussion groups and tours of Portmeirion.

There were lots of indoor large-screen video presentations and interviews, question and answer sessions and autograph signings with our star guests.

All attending members received an A4 size souvenir programme with full colour covers, a "short form" programme and a colour convention badge.

LONDON LOCATIONS WALKABOUT AND OPTIONAL TRIP ON THE LONDON EYE
LONDON LOCATIONS WALKABOUT AND OPTIONAL TRIP ON THE LONDON EYE
A Walkabout of the main Prisoner Locations in Central London will take place on Saturday 22nd August 2009 starting at Marble Arch at 1 p.m. Our Walkabout will take in locations such as the long ‘resignation corridor’, the Prisoner's home at Buckingham Place, Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Bridge and Trafalgar Square. Plentiful photo opportunities will arise at every location! The route will be approximately 3.5 miles long and the Walkabout is free of charge. Walkers should please wear comfortable footwear and be prepared for possible unfavourable weather.

After the Walkabout there will be an optional ‘flight’ on the London Eye, lasting approximately 30 minutes. This costs £17 and participants need to register for this by 1st August 2009 at the latest. If you wish to join us for the flight, please contact Andrew White as soon as possible by sending an email marked LONDON EYE via SixOfOne@netreach.net. Otherwise just turn up at 1 p.m.

After the ‘flight’ we will find a local hostelry for drinks and a bite to eat, aiming to depart finally around 6.30pm. The event is open to all Six of One Members and their friends - the more the merrier. Be seeing you!
